OSPREY COVE AT LAKE SANTA FE
GAINESVILLE • FLORIDA

Welcome

Welcome to the Florida Tibetan Buddhist Center

In northern Florida, on 102 acres with over 2400 feet of rare virgin lake frontage, a Dharma community is forming. The Center, on pristine “Osprey Cove,” will be a home for Tibetan meditation, arts, culture, and medicine, as well as a part-time winter residence for His Holiness Ogyen Trinley Dorje, 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, who has named the project “Karmapa’s Writing Garden.” The profound and spiritual culture of Tibetan Buddhism will be preserved, presented, and practiced in a setting that celebrates the natural beauty of Florida and Lake Santa Fe.

Authentic lineage teachers will come to transmit the Dharma, and the precious ancient teachings will continue to make their way from Asia to the West, to this sleepy little corner of the south. May this benefit all and help us to understand the fragile nature of all life, the environment and our interdependence on each other.

Details can be found on The Center page describing the site — Shrine Room, Auditorium, Gallery, Elder Enclave, Retreat Spaces, Gardens, Nature Trails, and more.

An association of Dharma practitioners and supporters will join together to create a sustainable community that shares the aspirations to be concerned for the benefit of all sentient beings and to protect our precious earth.
